Travel Talking Chart: Simple Present

Talking Chart

This talking chart goes nicely with the last post of travel destination cards. It will get students to talk about places in the world where they want to visit. It gets students to practice the question “Where do you want to visit?” though it could be easily modified to practice modals with the question “Where would you like to go?”

Directions Using the City Cards

  1. Spread the city cards out and give students a few minutes to look through them and choose one as a place they want to visit.
  2. Next, pass out the talking chart and go over the example dialogue.
  3. Ask students to talk to their classmates and complete the chart using full sentences.
  4. Collect the chart to check grammar. (I use in class activities)

Directions Without Using City Cards

  1.  Give students a few minutes to brainstorm a place in the world where they want to visit.
  2. Next, pass out the talking chart and go over the example dialogue.
  3. Ask students to talk to their classmates and complete the chart using full sentences.
  4. Collect the chart to check grammar. (I use in class activities)
